4th of July Celebrations

To start of our 4th of July we went to a Pancake Breakfast with a lot of our friends from the Old Fort Myers Ward that no longer exists. It was a lot of fun to catch up with people we haven't seen since we moved to Cape Coral over 2 years ago!

Ella enjoying chocolate chip pancakes.

They had a parade for the kids to ride their bikes/walk around the gym. The girls loved it. Aspen decorated this flag all by herself.

Right after the breakfast we headed over to Cape Harbour for their Patriotic Picnic where Grandma and Grandpa were set up with a Tupperware booth. The girls have a good time walking around with Grandma and seeing all the dogs they had their dressed up for the doggie costume competition. Aspen and Ella also got a patriotic tattoo.

The Tattoo Then we finished of the day with some great Asian food. We made lettuce wraps and Mongolian beef YUM! And the Girls got the all American dessert Popsicles before off to bed.

We had a great holiday weekend and are looking forward to next year.

why is it that kids can't have cookies for breakfast, but it's totally okay to eat chocolate chip pancakes cooked in oil and drenched in sugar???

Don't you just love the 4th of July. I would have to say it is my favorite summer holiday. I love going to parades and watching fireworks. It looks like you all had fun. By the way, I love your background page.
