BUBBLES BUBBLES BUBBLES!

This is Ella's first real out doors play time. It's a good thing it didn't last to long because she didn't sleep for very long!
Aspen insisted on holding the bubbles herself, at first it was frustrating, but since we have a few bottles I let her have it, needless to say we went through a brand new bottle of bubble from opening to empty in less then 15 min! But, at least she was ready to go in when they were gone and neither of us were TOO sticky, just a little.

I love December and January down here in Florida. It has been a beautiful 78-79 all week. We got to test out Aspen's bubbles in the great weather and Aspen loves to run around.

The Day After Christmas, the fun continues...

Thanks Aunt Karen, Uncle Brian, Kennedy, and Presley for this fun tea set!
This is Aspens little play area for now. We will have a little more room for her when we get Ella's stuff moved into their room in a few months then this will be their regular play area.

Aspen is anti group photos right now. I can't get her to be anywhere near Ella when the camera is out!

Christmas Morning

First we want to thank Grandma & Grandpa Smith and Culbertson and Santa for helping us give our family such a wonderful Christmas. We miss you all at this time of year and love you so much! We can't wait to see the Grandparents (and Great G&G Smith) in just a few weeks!

Before Aspen woke up.... After!

Aspen LOVES to cook and we are so excited she got this kitchen set. We had to bribe her away from it so she would open the rest of her presents!

Aspen got a Princess Tent that she calls her Castle.

Ella's First Christmas. She sat in her bouncy seat the whole time and made it through the opening of all the gifts but shortly after that was out like a light!Look at all her goodies!

Brent and Ella haning out while Daddy checks out the Orlando and Ruth Culbertson Family History book we got for christmas.

Daddy and Aspen watching Polar Express while mommy cleans up.

We Love Nursery!

Aspen has a fabulous Nursery leader and we love her so much! For Christmas she put together gift bags with quite a few presents in it for each child. Each one of the was unique to the child and put together with much thought and love. She gave Aspen some plates and bowls and some pretend food, and also a chef's hat and an oven mitt and pot holder. We let Aspen open these gifts after church on Sunday, so all she did on Christmas Eve the next day was play with them!

Practice Christmas Morning

Dane is spending the Holiday's with his family so we had him open his gifts on Sunday Dec 23rd. Because he wouldn't be here I took our "Christmas Morning" Picture Sunday Morning!

Photo Crazy

I know I put lots of just everyday pictures up here, but I am amazed at how much my girls change and I want everyone who we live so far from to see it! I don't want anyone to miss out on anything! So, here are another round of random pictures of Ella!

I realized I didn't have any pictures of Jules with Ella. Jules is not overly interested in Ella she is to busy hiding from Aspen, but they do hang out on the floor pretty often these days.

Before Eating

After Eating (and a diaper change!)

First Smiles!

MOO!

Aspen's imagination has really been coming out these last 6 months or so. She makes fake phone calls, she cooks, and play dress up. Well, a few days ago Aspen comes up to me dressed like this (pants half on and shirt stuck on her head) and she says, "I a cow MOOOO!" and she ran around the house mooing. Now it happens on regular occasion for Aspen to dress up as a cow and run around mooing, it is hilarious. I have no idea what has possessed her to think this makes her a cow, but in her mind she is. She also runs around pretending to be a monkey, a frog, and a snake but these ones don't have outfits...yet!

Christmas Time

Aspen is getting very excited for Christmas (and Santa Clause to bring her presents). She is also getting excited to blow out the candles for Jesus birthday (we are making a cake for him) we are working really hard to remind her that Christmas is Jesus' Birthday and we get presents because of this, we are also talking to her about how Jesus was a gift to us. Having children around the holidays is really fun, and as they grow older it really brings back into perspective the true meaning of the season. I don't know if I say this enough, I am so grateful for the gift of the Savior from Heavenly Father, and the gift the Savior gave to us through the Atonement. Hope you are all having a Joyfull and Glorious Holiday Season!

Growing like a weed...

Isn't she to much in this hat!

Ella's starting her daily tummy time. I try to not give her the Binky to much but as you can see she will quickly find a substitute for it!

Ella was 6 weeks old yesterday can you believe it!!! I went to the doctors for my follow up appointment, and while I was there I weighted myself and then held Ella to see what her weight was up to these days....she is 9 lbs! I can't believe how fast she is growing she has officially moved out of all preemie clothes and most of her newborn. She doesn't have the rolls that Aspen did (yet) and I measured her today and she is about 21 in long. It's amazing how the differences between each child really stand out. They are both so unique and wonderful. We are really loving having our two beautiful girls in our life!

Hello?

I gave Aspen this old phone and she loves to "call people". Her favorite phone calls are to Granna Smith Grandpa Culbertson (to talk basketball like daddy) and Santa Clause.

Polar Express

The day after Thanksgiving Brent and I introduced the Christmas movies we have to Aspen. The first one we watched was Polar Express. I wondered if Aspen would sit still long enough to watch it (not as much music as the "princess" movies) but she was glued to the tv for the entire movie. Now it is her favorite movie and we watch it almost everyday during quiet time. She knows the characters and loves to see the big Christmas tree at the North Pole, she knows exactly when Santa Clause is coming and she starts jumping around and clapping, and she loves to point out the jingle bells on the reindeer's harnesses. Today she has started taking around one of my close pins and is "punching my ticket" and making clicking noises like the train conductor in the movie. I love the movie, but I think it's time to broaden our Christmas Movie collection!

Aspen and Ella

Aspen loves to hold Ella and talk to her and play "little piggies" with her. So, I thought it would be a good time to snap some photos. Aren't they too cute! How did Brent and I ever get so lucky?
