Future Model

She struck this pose on her own I promise!

My mom has told me many times in the last year or so that we could make our millions off of Aspen, as she has gotten older she has proven that! She loves to pose for the camera and is SO photogenic we really could get her into child modeling, but her pictures are just for the enjoyment of friends and family!
PS This is her Christmas dress this year and she got to pick out her own shoes to go with it, she chose the black velvet ones with little heels on them! They have been deemed her "glass slippers" and she LOVES them!

Aspen's Curls

Brent and I are still unsure where our daughter inherited such gorgeous hair! Quite often people ask me if I curl her hair to make it like this....they obviously don't know my Aspen who wouldn't sit still for that long even for candy! But we love her hair and hope it continues to stay so beautifully curly.

ELLA IS ONE MONTH OLD!!

Ella is one month old today, I can't believe how fast time is going! She is doing great, eating well, and growing. She is still under 7 lbs and wearing preemie sized clothes most of the time, but is beginning to fill out in her face and body. Ella also is a good sleeper with two good naps a day and a few cat naps and most nights she only gets up once to eat, yeah! We are having a great time with our two little ones!

A Day in the Life....

Here are some more random pictures of my girls from a typical day in our lives!

Hanging out in the boucny seat

Playing out side with my toys (and in the dirt when mommy's not looking!)

Watching a movie during afternoon quite time.

Blissful nap time!

Thanksgiving Weekend

The day before Thanksgiving Brian and Karen brought their visiting family over to take the boat out. Aspen and Jules sat by the door the entire time they were getting ready to leave. Finally Aunt Karen let Aspen come out and play with the girls for a little while.

Aspen is getting more and more comfortable around Ella each day. This is the first time she asked to hold her on her own. Ella just laid there and hung out for about ten minutes. Aspen talked to her and sang to her it was so cute! Then when Ella had enough and was fussing I had to fight Aspen to get her back. Aspen said Ella was okay and she would take care of it! I love having Aspen involved, but now we have to watch her because she has tried to pick Ella up more then once now!

This was our Thanksgiving spread...we ate it for the next three days and Brent couldn't have been happier about it!

Our two girls all gussied up for thanksgiving dinner! Aren't they the most beautiful girls in the world!

Ella is 2 weeks old!

Thanks Aunt Heather for this adorable outfit (I'm sure I'll grow into it eventually!)

At two weeks old Ella is continuing to change every day. She is eating even more enthusiastically (which is hard to believe after the way she started her life eating like a champ!) and she is beginning to stay awake and alert more during the day. We are enjoying her awake times that happen once in the morning and once in the evening usually where she is content to hang out in her bouncy seat. I can't believe how time is flying past us!

THE HOILDAY SEASONS!

Can anyone really believe that Thanksgiving is only 3 days away? I am having a very hard time excepting that fact that this year is almost over! But I am very excited because Thanksgiving/Christmas time is my FAVORITE time of year especially now that I have kids. This will be our families first year staying in Florida for both Thanksgiving and Christmas and we are excited about having our own family traditions, but also I do miss spending the Holiday's with my family. I'm looking for some cute ideas on how to make Thanksgiving and Christmas a toddler friendly and fun holiday season. Thanksgiving will be a small affair, just Brent, me and the girls (Dane has chosen to spend the weekend with his Grandmother and see his mom and siblings on Thanksgiving day). If anyone has any suggestions let me know! We are really trying to focus on what the season is about (Gratitude, Christ, Peace, etc.) and not about gifts/candy/parties. I'll be sure to pass on any ideas I get my self! We send our love to everyone and hope that your holiday season is getting off to a great start!
