Last night we had our annual ward Trunk or Treat, we teamed up with the other ward in our area (they have all the kids.....) it was a lot of fun. They had refreshments and games for the kids, but Aspen was not interested in any of that, she wanted to stay in the gym and dance in her "pincess" dress or go outside and get CANDY CANDY CANDY! After the refreshments and games we went out to do the "trunk or treating" Aspen was a little shy at first and had to be encouraged by pointing out the candy. After about the first 5 cars we could hardly keep up with her, she quickly worked her way from car to car getting candy even saying "trick or treat" and "thank you" almost every time. When she was given the chance to pick out her own candy was her favorite thing...except she kept choosing her daddy's favorite candy's! We had to sneak some of mommy's in there too--you can't expect her to eat all that candy alone ;). Then on the way home we had to pry her pumpkin out of her hands to get her into and out of her car seat and then had to hide it while she got ready for bed because she was prepared to take it (and all the candy inside) to bed with her! Now if she hears "trick or treat" or sees a pumpkin she asks where her pumpkin is and when she is going to get more "cany". Looks like Daddy will have a great time with her when they go trick or treating on Halloween next week!
