For Trick or Treating this year we went to Brent's boss' neighborhood. It is a gated community that opened it's "doors" to the public for the first time this Halloween. All guests had to park out side the gates and the streets were patrolled by a cop or two so it was a very safe enviroment. Aspen really got into the trick or treating and loved to run up to the houses and help herself to their candy. They all thought she was an adorable little fairy (which turned out to be a very popular costume this year!) Because of the area that Brent grew up in and our living in apt complex's since we had Aspen, this was the first time EVER that Brent has experianced real trick or treating. So he pulled out a older Knight costume purchased in Collage for a party and went as Aspen's knight is shinning armor. They were SO cute together. I went as a pregnant women wishing that my belly would strap off at the end of the night :). All in all we were out for about an hour and Aspen got a entire pumpkin (the .$99 candy contiainer kind) full of goodies. Most of the goodies will end up in mommy and daddy becuase Aspen prefers one thing....suckers...she talks about the other candy but when it comes down to choosing which one she wants to eat just then it is always a sucker! Well, we can't believe another Halloween has come and gone and we are all looking forward to next year with our two little darlings to get candy for us! But until then will you all PLEASE avoid bringing up trick or treating around Aspen for the next year ;).
